Arts and Technology is an inspiring, rigorous and practical faculty whereby we use the curriculum to encourage students to learn, to think and to intervene creatively to solve problems both as individuals and as members of a team.

We encourage students to:

• Use their imagination.
• Create.
• Perform.
• Make music.
• Make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, whilst considering their own and others’ needs.

We aim to, wherever possible, link work to other disciplines such as mathematics, science, English and computing in the spirit of application and relevance. Students are also given opportunities to reflect upon and evaluate the past and the present within their subject area and how we can use this information to impact on innovation and change. Underpinning all we do within all disciplines of the faculty is our commitment to the environment, use of sustainable materials and informed competent use of all related technology.
