Meet our new staff
New staff from September 2025
My name is Jaden-Holly Adams and I am the new Art Teacher here at Marlborough from September 2025
I have studied Art for seven years, two of those years I spent running my own Illustration business. Art is something I have a deep passion for and in my time teaching I have discovered that, being able to facilitate creativity amongst students is a driving factor in my practice. Whilst I enjoy various forms of Art, my primary mediums are watercolour and ink, with the artist Charlie Mackesy being a significant source of inspiration for me. When starting with Marlborough Science Academy, I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge of the Art industry to inspire and assist learners in achieving their goals not only within the school but beyond.
Hello, my name is Nadera Karkaby and I will join Marlborough in July 2025 as Teacher of Food Technology.
I am a proud mother of two boys, originally from the Holy Land, and I came to the UK in 2007 to pursue my master’s degree in architecture. Throughout my journey in architecture, I developed skills in thinking, creating, organizing, developing, and analysing, shaping my approach to learning and teaching. Throughout my career, I have been involved in various design projects. I was fortunate to work with the Architecture Department at the University of Cambridge, where I contributed to research focused on Jerusalem.
My passion for food comes from my rich exposure to diverse cultures and from the understanding that food is not just about nourishment—it is about culture, social connection, and understanding the people around us. I am truly excited to share my passion and cultural experiences with the students, passing on my knowledge and love for food. My interest in food technology is deeply rooted in the diverse backgrounds I have been lucky to have experienced.
I am eager to work with young minds, inspiring them to explore the fascinating world of food, science, and technology. I trust in God and believe we can overcome challenges through kindness and dignity. I am truly excited to be part of the school community, and I can't wait to meet all the students and support and guide them through a creative and innovative learning journey.
My name is Britny Delp and I am the new Science Teacher here at Marlborough from September 2025
Hello, Marlborough community! I have taught physics and engineering while mentoring sustainable fashion, science, and robotics clubs in Phoenix, Arizona, US for the past 12 years. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Science Education with a Physics Emphasis and a Master of Arts in Teaching and Teacher Education. I love teaching, but am equally passionate about research and work experience. I have interned at the National Optical Astronomy Observatories, Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, Fermilab, and Raytheon during school breaks. In my free time, I enjoy reading, going to concerts, travelling, and dancing West Coast Swing. I am very excited to share my expertise, experiences, and passion for science with you all. I can't wait to learn and grow with this incredible community.
My name is Simon Cole and I am a new Film/Media teacher at Marlborough from September 2025.
The art of story in Film has always been motivating force in my teaching practice. I have always been fascinated by how there are no absolute right or wrong answers in 'story'. There are many voices, and every student voice counts in the storytelling craft. In Film, students have a significant opportunity to build cultural capital about a range of national and international, historical and present day voices, and that 'story' has become a unifying language to express many ideas. My hope at Marlborough is to empower many new voices to tell their story, whilst learning the craft of a subject I have an innate passion for.
Also, we are bombarded by Media every single day of our lives, and it is easy to become passive and desensitised by the overload. My goal in Media teaching is to take students on a journey from passive spectators to active critics and producers. Knowledge is power. Giving students the tools to deconstruct the messages and agendas behind our daily media consumption gives them means to respond to it, and even create Media how they please. In my view, never have these two subjects been so crucial in education.
At Marlborough, my goal is to inspire new voices in Film/Media, introduce a range of Media texts and Films as a cultural awakening, and beyond the academic side, just encourage everyone to enjoy it too.
