Student Leaders Shine at ALPS Conference Our Student Leaders recently attended the ALPS Conference, where they delivered two engaging sessions on the theme of "Escaping Reality" to fellow sixth form students from across the consortium. The sessions explored both the positive and negative impact of screen time and mobile phone use in young people's lives. Students discussed how technology can be a powerful tool for revision, organisation and communication, while also encouraging reflection on the amount of time many of us spend on our devices. One particularly thought-provoking point highlighted that spending five hours a day on screens could amount to around 14 years of a person's life. Our Student Leaders communicated their ideas beautifully, asking insightful questions that encouraged meaningful discussion and self-reflection among participants. They represented the school exceptionally well throughout the conference, demonstrating confidence, maturity and professionalism. Well done to all Year 12 students, who were excellent ambassadors for their school and community. #StudentLeadership #SixthForm #SchoolAmbassadors #DigitalAwareness #OnlineSafety #CriticalThinking #StudentVoice #DigitalWellbeing #FakeNewsAwareness #PositiveInfluence #SchoolCommunity #LeadershipInAction #EducationMatters #StudentEngagement #SafeOnlineRead More »Instagram

@mentalhealthfoundation. We've chosen Action as this year's theme for Mental Health Awareness Week because, while awareness is vital, real change comes when we take action too. Together, we've come a long way on mental health, but we can't risk going backwards. There's still much we can do to prevent people becoming unwell in the first place.
