Humanities
The aim of all the discrete subjects within the Humanities Faculty, which vary widely yet also link together so symbiotically, is to engage all students and challenge them to appreciate their place in the world. We aspire to enable students to understand the diversity around them, so that they are able to relate to different human and physical aspects from across the world – political, social, economic, cultural, philosophical, landscapes, climates, etc.
By enabling the students to understand both the country and the world they live in today, and how the world came to be as it is, they will also be able to thrive in a society in which they will encounter individuals with different ideas to their own. We will help them to understand and interpret these ideas, whilst always questioning their own moral compass.
