Springboard is for learners who have been diagnosed with/have traits of an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated emotional, behavioural and mental health needs.You may also have low confidence or self-esteem, social anxiety or have underachieved or missed time at school – and you may have a learning difficulty in one area but a high ability in others.Springboard is a full-time course that will provide you with the support, knowledge, skills and confidence you need to become more independent, make informed decisions and to progress to employment.

Applications are now open for our 'Understanding My Autism' & 'Understanding My ADHD' courses for children & young teens. Join us for transformative 6-week group courses designed to empower children and young teens with a diagnosis of ADHD or Autism. Through interactive sessions, participants will explore what being Autistic/ADHD means to them, identify strategies to support their well-being, articulate their needs, and celebrate their uniqueness.

Understanding My Autism: Empowerment Course for Children and Young Teens
Join us for a transformative 6-week group course designed to empower Autistic children and young teens. Through interactive sessions, participants will explore what autism means to them, identify strategies to support their well-being, articulate their needs, and celebrate their uniqueness. A diagnosis is not required, although your child should be on the pathway and aware that they are likely Autistic.
Course Details:
Years 7 and 8 (Secondary):
- Online Sessions: Wednesdays, 4.30-5.30pm
- Start Date: 4th November 2026
- Duration: 6 weeks

To apply, please click the button below to complete the form and i Due to limited spaces (maximum of 8 children per group), early application is encouraged and we are happy for parental support throughout the course. For the full benefit, participants are expected to attend all 6 weeks. The deadline for applications is Sunday 18th October.

Autism and ADHD transformation programme
The Autism and ADHD transformation programme, which includes Hertfordshire County Council, NHS trusts, HPCI and local voluntary organisations, has been working hard to improve services for families and young people.
A key area of work has been ensuring practitioners that work with children and young people know where they can go or signpost families to access support in their local area. This will hopefully help families, children and young people get access to support as early as they can.
