Normandy History Trip
Day 1 saw us discussing British Airborne Operations, day 2 we visited the British and Canadian beaches as well as the Pegasus Bridge Museum and the German Battery at Longues sur Mer. Day 3 was the Amercian sector, where we visited St Mere-Eglise, a crucial Cotentin peninsula, that would prove vital for the success in opening up routes for the US troops coming off Utah beach.
A Fantastic trip had by all. The students loved it and the historian we had as a guide was so knowledgeable and absolutely amazing! Enjoy the pics.
