A Lasting Legacy of Hope Our Year 12 Art students have proudly unveiled a powerful new mural, created in collaboration with St Albans Cathedral and renowned graffiti artist Ant Steel. Inspired by themes of conflict, peace and reconciliation, the students explored the personal challenges facing young people today, creating a striking artwork that celebrates resilience, hope and belonging. The mural was officially unveiled by headteacher Annie Thomson who spoke about the importance of giving young people a voice and the power of art to bring communities together. We are incredibly proud of our students for their creativity, compassion and commitment throughout this inspiring project. Look out for the full story and more about this incredible collaboration in the next edition of the St Albans Times. #MarlboroughScienceAcademy #StudentArt #PublicArt #CommunityArt #ArtEducation #YoungArtists #CreativeEducation #Hope #Resilience #Belonging #MentalHealthAwareness #StAlbans #StAlbansCathedral #AntSteel #StAlbansTimes

Today marks one year since we lost our friend and colleague, Stephane, from our site team. In his memory, we have created this small seating area outside the site lodgea quiet space where staff can take a moment to sit, relax and reflect. Stephane is greatly missed, and we hope this space serves as a lasting reminder of the friendships, kindness and memories he leaves behind. Forever remembered. #RememberingStephane #SiteTeam #InMemory

Today we celebrate Windrush Day and the Windrush Generation – people from Caribbean countries who came to Britain between 1948 and the early 1970s after the Second World War. They are called the Windrush Generation because many of the first arrivals travelled on the ship HMT Empire Windrush, which arrived in Britain on 22 June 1948. Windrush Day is celebrated every year on 22 June to recognise their contribution, honour their legacy, and celebrate the rich diversity that has helped shape modern Britain. #WindrushDay #WindrushGeneration #Diversity #Inclusion #History #Respect #SchoolCommunity #stalbansMums #stalbansparents #stalbansschool #hertfordshireschool
