Recognition

This school has demonstrated a very strong commitment to PE and School Sport over the past 12 months. They have a very dedicated team of PE teachers who provide excellent opportunities for their pupils. They regularly participate in the vast majority of sporting opportunities open to them including rowing, table tennis, golf, hockey and futsal. They have achieved the School Games Kitemark over the past 5 years and have this year progressed from bronze to silver level. They are always proactive and the Head of PE, Mr Packard is always looking for the next opportunity to explore. Due to this commitment they achieved outstanding results in PE examinations, became St Albans football champions and Herts County Rugby Champions both at U14 level and have established a successful sports leadership programme that works with local primary schools on a regular basis.
