The Marlborough Science Academy

House System

At The Marlborough Science Academy, our House System is an integral part of our community, bringing students and staff together through shared identity, teamwork, and pride.

Inspired by being a Science Academy, our four houses — Mars, Mercury, Neptune, and Saturn — embody the spirit of exploration and curiosity that drives scientific discovery. The house system encourages students to live our core values of Courage, Dignity, Compassion, Endeavour, and Kindness, helping every individual to grow both academically and personally.

Our house ethos — “Be part of your house community by supporting, encouraging and performing while showing humility” — guides everything we do. Throughout the year, students take part in a wide range of inter-house competitions and activities, celebrating talent across all subjects and interests, culminating in our fully inclusive Sports Day.

Through dedication, teamwork, and participation, students earn house points that contribute to their house’s overall success — reminding us all that, when we act with courage, dignity, compassion, endeavour, and kindness, we truly reach for the stars.

Through the school's achievement system, students will receive house points which go towards the overall house total.
