Teaching and Learning
At the heart of everything we do at The Marlborough Science Academy, is high quality Teaching and Learning.
We discuss it each week as a staff in our Top Teaching Tip Tuesday staff briefing; and discuss it with our students through our Learning Counts meetings.
Below you will find a small selection of the creative ways the school engages with Teaching and Learning.

Transition INSET 2016
To support the transition of pupils from Key Stage two to three Heads of Faculty visited local primary schools to research the teaching and learning that was happening across county at Key Stage 2 level.
Staff focused on: pedagogy, the level of challenge and attainment, progress being made over time, marking policies and the use of subject terminology before bringing their finding back to school and disseminating ideas to staff. Following the INSET departments set short, medium and long term targets that would ensure Year 7 students continue their learning journey once they started at Marlborough.
The following documents detail the Head of Faculty findings.
